![]() Please help, I'm losing my mind over this! I thought it was going to be simple but it's turning out to be anything but. The video I found at talks about a way of assigning an XML file to a FortiClient profile but the required command "set forticlient-advanced-config enable" isn't available for me. I also found that restoring a config from XML is per-user and not system wide. I've tried messing about in the XML file but can't get that to make any difference. "Save Password, Auto Connect, Always Up" are enabled in the tunnel and client settings, and I've also enabled "VPN before login" but I cannot for the life of me get it to automatically start the connection - I have to manually open the forticlient hit the 'connect' button. However, what I need is for the FortiClient to connect automatically using saved credentials - ideally before login (this is because some of the laptops are shared use and not assigned to a specific user, so I have created local accounts on the FGT for each system LAPTOP1 LAPTOP2 etc). I have set up a SSL-VPN tunnel with split-routing and when I sign in to the FortiClient (I'm using version 6.0.9) the connectivity is perfect, and everything works as expected. ![]() I know many people will say "always-on VPN is bad" but in this case the split-routing mitigates the risk to a point where we consider it well worth it. To meet our information security compliance requirements, I need my org's laptops (Windows and Mac) to permanently have connectivity to our patch management, inventory, and active directory servers, so that we can ensure they are in compliance within the required timeframes. Applescript has to interpret the presence of that word in context, and several factors - different versions of the OS or of the relevant applications, the presence of different osaxen, runtime issues that alter how the Applescript system reads in the scriptability information - could affect how that interpretation plays out.Ĭontext is (apparently) everything, sometimes.Fortinet is a global leader and innovator in Network Security. That's exacerbated by the fact that message is also a noun in its own right in Outlook, creating an ambiguous bit of grammar. The problem here, I think, is that the word current is part of a lot of applescript nouns: current date, current application, current messages, current user, current track, current location, etc. They are cues to the compiler about the order in which different parts of the statement should be processed. ![]() Parentheses have the same function here as they do in mathematical equations. Also the OP mentioned that the code did work on one machine but not another so I would assume again the parens were not needed in that case. ![]() Any reason that the parens would be needed on some cases and not in others? As you can see the code the OP posted compiled fine on my system with no need of the parens. ![]()
